We’re so happy that you chose Galleria Gowns to shop for your wedding gown! Bridal appointments are so much fun. Check out our tips to make sure you get the most out of your appointment time.
It’s the day of my appointment…what should I expect?
- Come on in! Arrive for your appointment on time, and call if you’re running late.
- Let’s get started. Check in at the front desk. You’ll be greeted by one of our stylists, and they’ll make sure your contact information is up to date. Your stylist will meet you there and lead you back to your area.
- Welcome to the stage! You’ll be shown to your stage area and your fitting room. Take a seat and make yourself comfortable.
- Let’s get to know each other. Your stylist will ask you questions about your wedding, like the venue, color scheme, and aesthetic/feel. They’ll also ask questions about the kind of dress you’re looking for - fitted, a-line, ballgown, etc. This is a great time to show us any pictures that you have of dresses that you like online! You’ll also be asked about dress details like lace, sparkle, and more. We’ll also ask about your price point.
- Sit back and relax. Your stylist will be like your personal shopper, finding the best dresses for you in our inventory of close to 700 gowns! You can rest assured that your stylist will search hard to match your personal style to our fabulous gowns.
- It’s fashion show time! Your stylist will come get you once they have a selection of dresses pulled and they will bring you to your fitting room. You’ll pick a dress to start with and start trying them on. Don’t forget to come out to the stage so your family and friends can see how amazing you look! Your stylist will guide you through trying on dresses, narrowing it down to your favorites, and even trying on the perfect accessories!
- Say yes! Once you’ve selected your perfect wedding gown, your stylist will walk you through the next steps of the process – taking your measurements, picking your size, and ordering the dress. Don’t forget to take a picture at our photo booth after your appointment!
Here are some tips and reminders to make your appointment the best it can be:
- Be honest with your stylist! Don’t love a dress? Tell us! Your opinion matters. We want to pull dresses that make you feel beautiful.
- Be open minded. Sometimes your stylist may pull a dress that isn’t exactly what you had in mind, or maybe it will look a little strange on the hanger. Give it a try anyway! You might just be pleasantly surprised.
- Don’t feel obligated to bring everyone with you. We suggest no more than 4-5 people. The best groups are people that are upbeat, supportive, and give their opinions gently. Think about the people that are the decision makers for you and bring them. If you know you can’t decide without your sister, mom, or best friend, make sure they’re there, either in person or on Facetime! The most important thing is that you feel supported throughout the process.
- Choose the dress that makes you feel like the best version of yourself. As your stylist, we want nothing more than for you to feel beautiful, comfortable, and confident.
- Don’t worry about crying! Some brides cry when they choose their dress, others don’t. We see a spectrum of emotions every day. If you feel fabulous, that’s all that matters.
- Make sure you book your appointment ahead of time, especially for a Saturday! Those appointments go fast, and we want to make sure that we have a stage, a stylist, and the full amount of time to help you. Don’t forget to check out our tips on how to prepare for your appointment too!
